So your Bonito is in the south or west of Brazil - now I might be able to find it on GEarth. There are an awful lot of Bonitos in Brazil!!
Andy is fetching his Mum tomorrow & she is staying until Boxing Day. We're having pork loin - 3kg of it!!!!!
Dog show Saturday - that means the fun of bathing Ekko on Friday night!! Don't expect to do any good but it's good socialising for him. These little shows cost not a lot.
Hens still laying - alternate days 1 egg!! A bit out of sync I think.
Andy "playing" in garage whilst I hoover. The dog keeps chewing up his fleece and leaving bits all over the carpets.
Have a really good Christmas with hopefully some cards from the UK?

It is now very hot here!

Tickets for a rugby match sounds excellent... and congratulations on the win last Saturday.

I remember Katrin a visit to Germany has to be on the cards soon after I get back!

Compulsory sightseeing today...I will be meeting Michaela from Germany to visit a special part of the city... no idea what it is called, but she knows! Also she speaks Spanish!

It is now very hot here in Buenos Aires! I hardly slept and have actually just had a shower...again!

Nice city, very European. Our first evening watching a tango demonstration in the square and then sitting in a cafe eating nice food and watching the locals dance...the tango..was really nice.

Glad ekko is settling in well... isn´t showing going to be a bit of a chore?

More compulsory sightseeing today. There is a compulsory government check of the hostel and we all have to be out from 9 - 5!

I always wondered about Patagonia - it sounded like the end of the world. Hope you get some sun soon - we could send you some!

And I know why we went there..it was just like Wales-but with less rain..don't forget we own 'The Green Green Grass of Home'!
I think you might earn yourself a ticket to a 6 nations match at home if you make it back before March 21st!
We tanked the Aussies at the Cardiff stadium last Saturday and(more importantly)we were there!Along with Kathrin( remember her-ex-St. Cyres school-now back in Dortmund and expecting 1st baby in March with lovely German man)I have promised her that we(the aunties) would visit around Easter-as well as Gaby et al.
I hope you win the Christmas card comp.-just rally your friends around the world and win the category for cards received in the most languages!We (in Wales) will do our best to help.

Are you in the truck? Google Earth doesn't show anything that looks like a road down as far south as you are!! Still I expect unsurfaced roads wouldn't show up well.
Found Puerto Madryn. Should be warmer than Ushuaia!!
Got the card from Pucon yesterday.

We saw the Towersin Torres del Paine... it was a really spectacular area to camp.

Sorry to hear that Ekko fell into such a deep ditch... hope Andy didn´t get too dirty and wet.

All I really know about South America is to look out for those Welsh folk in Patagonia!
You sound like the mother of your people at the moment.Will you ressurect your truck-driving instincts next?
How has the I-Pod shuffle held out on your journeys-was the download extensive enough?
Ann-you really must have the homecoming bash with a HUGE Powerpoint of all the amazing photos-or a weekend "lock-in" when you tell us all about what you've seen and learned.
I think it must be the new cultures that are so fascinating( and that includes, I think,your travelling partners)

Andy says look out for the Towers of Paine. They are quite close to where you are now. BIG mountain climb! It all sounds really fun. Ekko fell in a 10' deep drainage ditch on the Somerset Levels on Sunday. I volunteered Andy to get him out!!!

You're country -hopping so fast at this stage that it's hard to keep up on the world map in my new classroom. My international students are well impressed with your progress and travels!
I would like to tell them that it all ends up again in Cardiff,Wales or even possibly Hamburg!

Gosh - have you re-acclimatized to not travelling yet? Is it strange? Being on the road has probably been very very good though - since the economy of the western world anyway seems to have completely imploded. Private markets are now being kept afloat by state interventions - I'm sure you're reading newspapers in Singapore though and when you get to Australia you'll certainly hear all about it.

I hope you're keeping a diary ... are you?

I am glad Ekko has a civilized name! I hope he walks perfectly when I visit. How is Spizi coping? Is there rivalry?

Vietnam is excellent. Very clean and tidy. I am having an evening outfit made... it was good that I couldn't understand the Vietnamese numbers for the measurement.

I wrote to Michelle today, to tell her that I will be back on 8th January, at 8.15 a.m. at Gatwick airport... Ivanka will meet me!

I had to have the beauty treatment in Nha Trang, and at was fun and posh!

Dear Ann, I'm back from SA. It was a fantastic, brilliant time there with Rosalie. I will show you some pictures when you come to Hamburg again after your trip. Guenter and I are sitting at the computer at school at the moment and we enjoy teaching again. I have sent you an e-mail but it didn't reach you, so Guenter is teaching me now how to do this. I hope he will be successful! I hope you will have a fantastic time for the rest of your trip. Keep in touch!
